I don’t believe Scripture should sit behind a paywall, and I intend to keep the show free of advertising, paid promotions, and sponsorships wherever the platform allows.

How Your Support Is Used

I believe supporters deserve to know where their money goes. While I won’t be posting quarterly accounting statements, here’s a general overview of how support for Bible By Example is handled behind the scenes. These priorities may change over time as this project grows, but this is the general approach I’ll continue to follow.

Tithes

The first 10% of every dollar received is set aside as a tithe. I don’t expect everyone to share my faith, but I do want everyone who supports this project to know where that portion goes.

The tithe currently goes to Wells of Living Water, a ministry I know personally and am happy to support. Their work serves communities in Peru by drilling wells, providing access to clean drinking water, and sharing the Gospel.

Operating Costs and Infrastructure

After the tithe, support helps cover the ordinary costs of producing and distributing the show, including:

  • Federal, state, and local taxes.
  • Domain registration.
  • Website and podcast hosting.
  • Business software and administrative services.
  • Payment processing fees.
  • Equipment maintenance and replacement.

Reinvestment

Whatever remains after tithes, taxes, and operating expenses is reinvested into the project — funding research materials, upgrading equipment, and helping offset the time spent writing, recording, and producing Bible By Example.

As the project grows, future support will help:

  • Purchase additional study resources and reference works.
  • Improve recording equipment and production quality.
  • Upgrade the RSS.com hosting plan.
  • Expand the Google Workspace subscription.
  • Cover hosting and service costs as the project outgrows today’s free tiers.
