Here recently, I’ve put forth the real effort to make it happen, and the first episode should be out soon™. I’ve hit a few snags the last couple of weeks, so I don’t think I’m going to meet the original deadline of mid-August. But what of the show itself?

Bible By Example is a long-form, text-first Bible study podcast for anyone who wants to read Scripture responsibly — whether you’re a new Christian, a lifelong churchgoer, or an agnostic who wants to understand the text accurately.

I’m not a pastor or scholar; I’m a fellow traveler walking through the Bible chapter by chapter, focusing on what the text actually says. We go strictly in order from Genesis to Revelation and never cross-reference forward, so we can see the context unfold in real time. Along the way, I’ll map out where major traditions differ, share history and language insights, and openly invite you to check my work.

If you want a thoughtful study without denominational spin, this is your place.

If you’re following on Patreon, I had to figure out the proper handle to use ever since Patreon made us merge creator accounts with our listening accounts. Since all the other Patreon pages have seen me comment under my usual online handle of “AnonJr” I’ve kept that. I may have to change things depending on if this causes any confusion.

Likewise, if you’re following on Substack the author displayed will also be “AnonJr” since that’s the handle I’ve used there as well.

For the main website I’ll probably just use my name. In general, I try to use “AnonJr” wherever I can, and you can find links to the right profile over at AnonJr.com. Outside of some forums, if it’s not there it’s likely not me. I’m sure before too long someone will try to appear as me to scam you out of something because that’s just the way of the internet. Use one of the accounts on my personal website to contact me if there’s a question, or email me at the BibleByExample.com domain.

I've had the idea for this podcast bouncing around in my head for many years, and I've worked on it off and on over that time.
